Ask Questions
FOR ONESELF
- Do I have difficulty attaining my academic and professional goals and why?
- Do I struggle at school to complete assignments and get passing grades?
- Am I confused regarding what professional direction to take and am I concerned about how to succeed?
- Do I have issues focusing my attention, completing tasks, challenges with time management, and following through on commitments?
FOR PARENTS
- Do I feel lost in my parenting skills with my child or children not quite knowing how to best work with my child or children?
- Is my child bright but under performing in school? Do their grades reflect their effort?
- Does my child have trouble learning numbers, the alphabet, days of the week, or colors and shapes?
- Does the teacher report or do I think my child has difficulty sustaining their attention?
- Does my child have difficulty understanding questions and following directions?
- Does my child have difficulty with math-related word problems?
- Does my child seem forgetful? Does my child forget his/her homework at school?
- Is my child reading/writing/math skills below grade level?
- Is my child experiencing anxiety, frustration, anger, low self-esteem, and even depression due to difficulties in school?

Preliminary Consultation
THE SECOND STEP is to call and schedule a preliminary consultation. During this consultation you will have the opportunity to talk about your or your child’s needs, your concerns and your goals.

Assessment
THE THIRD STEP is to begin the process of understanding the causes of your or your child’s difficulties. This step begins with an educational assessment. An educational assessment is a way of obtaining in depth information about you or your child’s educational strengths and weaknesses to determine whether or not educational support strategies are needed. This testing may be accomplished working with a neuropsychologist. Testing may also take place within a public school setting once the need is determined with the school’s administration.
Our assessment process usually involves a number of steps including an interview with the individual needing support, or the child and their family, informal observations obtained during different therapeutic interaction. Our office can also conduct a Learning Propensity Assessment to evaluate the learners cognitive strengths and challenges.
STEP 4 –
STEP 4 –
Therapy
THE FINAL STEP of the process is to develop a treatment plan. Our Educational Therapists will review the assessment report and determine which therapies would be beneficial to you or your child. The treatment plan may include a combination of different evidenced based programs and therapies customized to you or your child’s specific needs.
